Dash's Story...

Dash is a very affectionate and loving 5 month old male.  He is neutered and up to date on shots he needs a loving home that he will be #1 in some ones world.  He gives lots of kisses and likes to be held and cuddled.  He does have a lot of energy though and that is why he is named Dash.  He would do best with dogs his size but does like to play with the big ones as well.  He needs to reassured he is safe or he can get defensive if scared something was done to this little guy in his short 5 months of life.  Please consider him for your family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dash, a Pittsburgh Chihuahua/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Dachshund for sale in Pittsburgh, or seeking a Chihuahua/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Pittsburgh.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Pittsburgh already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Pittsburgh breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Dachshund breeders who help with Chihuahua/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Pittsburgh paves the way for another one to be saved.
