Meet Cooper!
He is fun and energetic boy who was found darting across traffic on a busy highway. Cooper is SUPER friendly with kids, dogs, adults, etc. He is almost housetrained and knows sit, lay down, off (for jumping), kennel, sometimes roll over and working on come. He still has a way to go with manners but training him will be fun to do! Cooper loves his crate and will go in and settle quickly. Of course he would rather be out bouncing around and romping with other dogs. We are working on recall as he gets easily distracted and would like to chase anything that moves. He doesn't know his name well but I suspect he will get the hang of it soon. Cooper would benefit from a home with a fenced in yard.

He is currently being fostered along with Bailey and Flynn.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cooper, a WAterford Border Collie puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in WAterford, or seeking a Border Collie puppy from a breeder in WAterford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in WAterford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a WAterford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in WAterford paves the way for another one to be saved.
