My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

MARLEY #7 is a 1 1/2 year old neutered chocolate male Lab who weighs 59 pounds. Marley and Doogie/Mo are very bonded and don't do well when they are separated. (Doogie/Mo gets nervous and sometimes cries when Marley is out of sight.) So, they are a bonded pair. Marley is very sweet. He is cratetrained and walks well on a leash. Marley only lived on a farm at his previous home and never went anywhere, so everything is new to him. But, he's been learning quickly at his foster home. Marley and Doogie/Mo were adopted locally From WCHS. They came back to WCHS, though, because the owners were leaving them outside when they were gone, and they were getting out of the 3 foot wooden fence when a child was leaving the gate open. Animal control was also involved, because they were running so much and picking up the neighborhood dogs while they were running. Because he was getting out of the fence at his previous home, Marley should have a secure fence/gate at his new home if there is a fence. Marley is doing well again at his former foster home. His fosters say he is a great dog and always comes when he is called. Marley gets along well with the other dogs at his foster home and lived with nine other dogs in his previous home. However, he sometimes prefers to have slow introductions in open places with new dogs, because he can sometimes be a little nervous at first until he meets the new dogs. There's no cat history for Marley, so we don't know how he is with cats. But, he hasn't been chasing the cats in the neighboring yard of his foster home. So, he may be OK with cats. Marley has been around kids, but there's no history of him living with any kids, Marley is approved for kids ages 10+.

Update (12/02): Doogie and Marley, saying hi! We're inseparable, and we love antlers and cuddles. Foster Dad says that we play together so well that we're almost too cute to function. We're about a year and half old, and we're a (really, really) bonded pair.

Update (10/27): Look up bonded pair in the dictionary and you will see a picture of Doogie and Marley! They do everything together (including 1s and 2s in the yard!) They sleep in the crate together every night. Doogie and Marley eat in their crates, and hang out in there during the day while their Foster Dad works. They're mellow, love to give kisses, and sleep quietly at night.

Update (10/23)Doogie/Mo and Marley are laid back, inquisitive gentlemen. They're adorably bonded. They know how to sit, lay down, and love to cuddle together. They even prefer to sleep in the same crate at night! Doogie loves to give kisses, and Marley is learning how to retrieve a tennis ball. Both love to chew on antlers, and have never met a cookie they didn't like. Doogie is about 60 lbs, and Marley is about 70 lbs. They are learning to walk nicely on a leash, and do well as long as they are side by side!
