Poopy is a 9-month old pup who was found and taken to the shelter looking like a little bag of bones with mange! Look at what a couple months of loving care can do for a girl! At 12 pounds, she isn’t the roly-poly puppy yet but is looking healthy and happy! This red & white cutie will always be small. We are unsure of what she is mixed with, but at 11 inches is was not a big dog!
Poppy can be a little timid when she first meets new dogs, but the “Real” Poppy appears as soon as she knows it is safe! She can be a bossy little girl and loves to out run the biggest boy in the pack when chasing after tennis balls. She is a hoot to watch as she prances back with the ball in her mouth. It is quite the sight, seeing her head is not much bigger! She can be sneaky when there is any wrestling going on. She loves to dive in and chew at any exposed legs. She is welcoming to all new pack members and would do well with at least one canine buddy in her new home.
Poppy is doing very well on her house training with only an occasional accident. She will chew on a book if you aren’t paying attention to her, but is pretty good at leaving things alone that do not belong to the pack. She has been crate trained but is use to being in a home where the family is home most of the time. She goes in without a fuss at meal times and then sits quietly when finished eating.
Poppy does love to cuddle up next to you for naps and bedtime. She has a sweet, loving nature and already gives kisses for being her friend! She will make some family very happy this Christmas! Apply today to come and meet this tiny girl.
