MOLLY's Story...
My name is MOLLY. That is my real name. I was surrendered to Fort Worth Animal Care & Control by my "family." I don't understand. I thought "family" meant you stay together no matter what and always love each other. I know I sure held up my end of the bargain for 6 years. My family took me to this scary place and told the nice lady there that they were moving and couldn't take me with them. I just don't get it. As I sat in my cold, yucky kennel I thought about it - a lot. I guess it really doesn't surprise me that much that they would dump me there. The whole time I lived with them, they made me stay in the backyard by myself. I never went on walks, never had anyone play with me, never got to snuggle inside with anyone -- even it was freezing cold or burning hot. I just sat outside by myself. You know what they did do though? They fed me all the time -- bad quality food, table scraps, and lots of it. I am really a very, very pretty girl but I am carrying around a lot of extra weight due to years of inactivity and poor diet (currently approx. 101 lbs). My life is changing now. These wonderful people at BFFs came and got me from the shelter. They took me to the vet and got me all checked out. I'm in good health, except for needing to lose weight. I am in a wonderful foster home with a nice lady who is feeding me special food and taking me on long walks. She lets me stay inside in the house with her. She even got me a real comfy bed to sleep on, and it's right in her room so I can be by her at night. I feel so special now. My foster mom is showing me what it really means to be part of a family. It feels good. I feel happy and loved. I hope my new family really will be forever. I am a really good dog and my tail is always wagging. I have a whole bunch of love to give, and I can't wait to meet the people who really deserve an amazing girl like me. Is that you? Why Adoption is a Great Option

MOLLY, a Colorado Springs Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Colorado Springs, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Colorado Springs.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Colorado Springs already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Colorado Springs breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Colorado Springs paves the way for another one to be saved.
