Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Beatrice, a.k.a Buffy, a beautiful 5 year old, 50 pound Golden Retriever was found as a stray earlier this summer. She was hot, dirty, tired, hungry, thirsty and her coat was matted. The saddest part of all, she is blind. The kind man who found her called the Humane Society immediately, so distraught over her condition, he was crying. Buffy was heartworm positive and has been thankfully treated and is now on her way to total good health. She is up to date on vaccinations and has been spayed. After her eyes were examined locally, she was taken to the University of Tennessee Veterinary School in Chattanooga and was examined by the top ophthalmology doctor there. He determined that surgery could be performed, but there was only a 10% chance she would get her eyesight back. He prescribed an inexpensive medication to be put in her eyes daily and now she's doing great in foster care. She gets around the house without any trouble, even going up and down the stairs by herself. She is housetrained and spends most of her time laying around the house or on the porch like a good couch potato girl should. She never barks and adores your love and attention, especially being brushed and petted. She also likes her nightly treats. Buffy is a middle-aged girl that is quiet and just needs a quiet home where she will get lots of love and attention. ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. CONTACT US AT 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.com
