Hi I'm Lacey Belle!
I am a 1 year old female lab mix. I only weigh 40 pounds. Lacey has a very special story. Lacey's Tale: I was put out and was stray for months. I made my home at the workplace of one of the MASH volunteers.I was so afraid of people that I stayed behind the fence and slept in the drain pipe for cover. Over the period of a few weeks employees started feeding me food every day and I began to trust again. But I still had to stay by myself all the time. About 4 weeks ago (3) people at the workplace started sitting on the curb by where I stayed just talking to me. I learned that people weren't so scary. Over that two weeks I began to try and trust them. I really wanted a home! On Wednesday 09.30.15 the lady named Rachel sat with me and opened her car for me to get in. I tried so hard to get in the car but was still soooo scared. On Thursday morning Rachel came back and brought my bacon that I loved so much. She opened her car again and with all my courage I got in her car! YAY! After that we went to the vet. I was still really scared but I learned they just wanted to love me and make me better. On the next day I went to a foster home and in one week I was so happy! I didn't think I'd ever be with people again. Lacey is now spayed, working on house training and doing well, and learning other things day by day. She's heart worm negative and on preventative. Up to date vaccinations. She loves her toys and most of all loves to be with people! She does great with other dogs. We want a great home for Lacey! She's an indoor dog now, but likes to go out several times each day! She's loyal and wants to be part of a "pack" again! Lacey will be your best friend forever.
