My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Keno is a 2.5 year old mix that is a graduate of Friendship's Training Program at the Grafton Correctional Institute. He was adopted back in May but his owner is moving out of the country and had to return him to Friendship. She was an excellent owner and kept up with his training and commands. Her vet gave a report of an old injury of a torn ACL. It doesn't bother him and as long as his weight is managed he will do fine. He likes other dogs but has no interest in playing with them, just introductions. He likes kids but they should be older and has really only lived with adults. Keno tends to be more outgoing with men than women but likes everyone. He has not been with cats but shows curiosity. This nice fellow was excellent with his manners and house training and will whimper to go out. Keno rarely barks. He also makes a great co-pilot in the car. If you're looking for a great well mannered companion, Keno is definitely your boy!

Keno returned to the prison program. He came back to Friendship and no on was interested in adopting him so he went back to the prison to get a refresher course and some relief from always living in a kennel. He really is a nice dog and would make an excellent 4 legged family member. Keno left for training again on November 02. 2015. He will only be there a few weeks. He's hoping someone will adopt him and give him a real home upon his return.

f you are interested in adopting this prison dog, adoption applications are now being accepted. You can find an app at friendshipapl.org under ADOPT-FIND A FRIEND. Hand deliver the adoption application to Friendship or call if you live a distance away to see if you can fax one in. Please DO NOT email the app.

All dogs receive one or more vaccinations, a basic veterinary examination, are wormed, heartworm tested and spayed or neutered. Dogs 3 months and older are micro-chipped.
