Diaz's Story...
This is our "Orange Is The New Black" litter. Their mom (a Golden Retriever) was bitten by a snake when they were about 3 weeks old so they entered our jail dog program and were bottle fed by the female trustees. These puppies have had round the clock care and socializing since then. They might be just a wee bit spoiled! They are about 10 weeks old now and are very sweet. They are puppy pad trained but not yet housebroken. These puppies are all being fostered in TN and will be transported once their adoption is finalized. If you'd like to add one of these cuties to your family please visit our website at www.goofyfootrescue.org and fill out an online application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Diaz, a Southington Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever for sale in Southington, or seeking a Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Southington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Southington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Southington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Southington paves the way for another one to be saved.
