Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Not sure which dog to adopt? Why not Suede? She's a 5 year old Shepherd/Boxer mix that arrived from another facility so her history is not known. In the very short time she's been at Friendship she has made friends with just about everyone. Suede is an even tempered and playful gal that just wants to belong. You can tell she had a home at some point and longs for another.
On November 24, 2015, Suede was selected to be one of Friendship's Prison Dogs. She is currently undergoing training at the Grafton Correctional Institution. Prison Dogs are trained in obedience, basic commands, manners and proper leash walking. She will spend approximately 12 weeks at the prison which puts her return date probably sometime in February. Prison Dogs cannot be visited during their training. All dogs return on an individual basis.
If you are interested in adopting this prison dog, adoption applications are now being accepted. You can find an app at friendshipapl.org under ADOPT-FIND A FRIEND. Hand deliver the adoption application to Friendship or call if you live a distance away to see if you can fax one in. Please DO NOT email the app.
If you have any questions, please contact the shelter at 440-322-4321. Or email at adoptions@friendshipapl.org.
All dogs receive one or more vaccinations, a basic veterinary examination, are wormed, heartworm tested and spayed or neutered. Dogs 3 months and older are micro-chipped.
