Luke's Story...
Luke is a boy that at one time was a loved pet. Something happened and he ended up outside and on his own. When we got him he was emaciated, fleas, matted so bad you couldn't see his eyes. The knots were so tight around his back legs hair had been pulled out as the knots got tighter. Now he is grateful to be a loved inside pet again. Luke shows his gratitude by managing everything and everybody in the household. Vet thinks Luke is 5 to 6 years old. He is way past the chewing stage, rides well, crate trained. Luke is okay with most dogs but does want to be the boss so we feel he would do best as an only dog. His coat is a soft wheat color with white around neck, feet, chest. Please contact us if you would like more information on Luke.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Luke, a Melbourne Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Melbourne, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Melbourne.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Melbourne already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Melbourne breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Melbourne paves the way for another one to be saved.
