Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Amber is as beautiful as her name implies with a stunning golden brindle coat and golden eyes to match. She has a sturdy, healthy body and a sharp, sharp mind. Although sometimes mistaken for a cow (she LOVES to graze on grass), she is 100% dog. Our beauty is no princess...she is a rough and ready Tomboy who does not mind playing hard or getting dirty. Her other favorite things to do: play fetch with a ball and play in the pool. Although stoic and independent by nature, her circumstances (living in a kennel for over a year!) have heightened these qualities, and she can seem reticent and shy. BUT...all it takes is one tennis ball and there she goes. After that, when she gets to know you, she gives more and more of herself. She is über smart, highly trainable, and knows basic obedience skills (sit, down, stay). She has a protective nature (also heightened by her circumstances) and does not like other dogs in her space or face (especially other females). She might be ok with another male dog who is not aggressive or annoying, but would really thrive in an environment where she could take the time to just relax and trust her person(s) by herself. Amber has the potential to be a once-in-a-lifetime loyal best dog companion ever, but you must be able to recognize that in her and allow her to become it. She is spayed, and up to date on shots, microchipped, and approximately age four, about 55-60 lbs.
