Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet our tri-color cocker spaniel, Smitty, who the vet believes to be 1-2 years old. Weighing in at 28 lb., Smitty likely falls in the "Sable" category of cocker spaniels which is rare to find in a rescue. He's a delightful little guy who is still quite puppy-like in terms of playfulness and energy. Get the balls and soft toys out for this one as he enjoys playing fetch during the day and and sleeping with his toys at night. Smitty is potty-trained, enjoys his walks and is friendly with other dogs and people he meets. He's not a watch dog, but like many dogs he provides an alert system in that he will bark when someone new comes over that he doesn't know...but he warms up with whoever it is as soon as his foster mom says "okay".
Smitty is a happy sweetheart and will be wonderful dog for a family that will take the time to play with him, train him and give him lots of love. He would likely enjoy liiving with another playful dog, going to the dog park regularly or having regular playdates with doggy friends. Also, given his breed, he will need regular brushing as well as professional grooming and attention paid to keeping his ears clean.
Smitty's adoption fee of $350 includes: vet exam, heart worm test (neg.), distemper, bordetella and rabies vaccinations, routine deworming, heart worm prevention, flea control, microchip and neuter.
