My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

IDGSR WELCOMES KIRA INTO THE SAFETY OF THE RESCUE!!!!

Kira is a female GS we rescued out of SW VA. As frustrating at this viscious cycle is, Kira who was adopted from the shelter as a puppy, now 7 or 8 months later ended up back there, not cared for by her previous owner.
Underweight, stinky, covered in fleas, and not even spayed, Kira was getting little to no care.
Kira is approx. 1 yr. old full of herself and lacks discipline all due to negligence by her previous owner to provide her with proper guidance to be a successful great dog. IDGSR believes all dogs should get training with positive reinforcement and take the dog to advanced obedience.
no Kindergarten stuff for German Shepherds, they go above and beyond that
Kira will be a great fit for a really active family, Kira needs an active walker/runner/hiker to help her burn off some of her energy.
Kira as you will see in the videos (coming soon) will benefit from training, everything is new to her being in rescue, and needs manners lessons which we are working. She will need a strong pack leader who will help her to succeed.
Training is a must, she's a twerp, but a loveable twerp, she will do great with another high energy male dog that will wear her butt out.

If you would like to make Kira a member of your family, please copy and paste the link below to our application page and fill out, we will call you to discuss it.
