Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Chama is a special pup for a special adopter. She is sweet, playful, vivacious, has a brilliant mind and a lion's spirit.
Chama's litter had a medical crisis early in their lives, at age three weeks, that affected two puppies - we lost one, with Chama being the other. With test results having come back negative for two different theories, what it was remains a mystery. All we know is that it was neurological.
Chama has made amazing strides in the past few weeks, going from a puppy who could barely stand to really motoring around, although she does have neurological deficit in all four legs, and perhaps impaired vision. She has been seeing a physical therapist who has good hope for her, feeling she will continue to make strides but likely will always have some level of impairment.
If you have been hoping to nurture a new pet in your life, Chama could be the one for you. She is personality plus, very pretty, and impossible not to love and root for. Her physical therapist has kindly extended the offer to work with her adopter without cost. For that reason, we would need for you to be within one hour of Charlestown, RI.
