Rachel was rescued from a breeder dog auction. She wasn't in a puppy mill, per se, but was with a formerly respected show breeder who turned greedy and heartless when she put some of her dogs in a breeder dog auction in the beautiful boonies of Missouri - right in the middle of Puppy Mill Central. Rachel is a white and black full breed Japanese Chin. He flowing coat is amazing. She will require brushing several times a week. Rachel was born May 17, 2007 so she just had her 2nd birthday - plenty of time left in her life to be a well loved pet. She weighs just a bit over 10 pounds. Rachel is the life of the party. She loves to run in the yard, hair flowing behind her. She is full of joy. Rachel likes to be held but her favorite thing is playing. She was shy when she first came to rescue but those days are gone. I
want to mention that many members of the Japanese Chin Club were instrumental in getting these dogs away from the auction. Thank you all very much.
The adoption fee for Rachel is $250. Each of our dogs is up to date on all shots, including rabies, spayed or neutered, microchipped, fecal tested for internal parasites, treated if necessary, tested for heartworm, treated if necessary, on heartworm preventative and we also take care of dentals or any other medical needs they may have.
Can't adopt right now? Consider sponsoring the care of this dog and other small dogs in need.
