Well, I have been under the care of the Humane Society of Lincoln County for over a year now. I have seen A LOT of my friends come and go but still no one will give me a second look. I am ornery and opinionated but I know a lot of people like that as well. As quickly as I can become cantankerous I can be loving and friendly. I am a lady and as we all know, ladies can be difficult to understand but we love them anyways! I am looking for a home that will love all my faults because I will return the favor. I am not a cuddly gal but what I lack in overt affection, I will make up for with dedication and quite companionship. For now, I have been offered a foster home and I think I'm going to take it. I could really use a catcation. I am turning my fur phone off while I am away so if you need me or you would like to meet me, please contact the shelter through email or you can give them a call at 931-433-3726. They know where to reach me!

About Fayetteville/Lincoln County Animal Shelter

About Our Shelter...

We are the only Animal Shelter aound in a 4 county area in a small rural town. Our Shelter is operated by the Humane Society of Lincoln County. We are dedicated to providing proper and humane treatment of all animals that come thru our doors. The Society was formed in 1985 by people distressed over the conditions at the local animal pound and concerned about the needs of orphaned, neglected and abused animals in the city and county. At that time, the Society took over the operation of an Animal Shelter and the investigation of all animal cruelty cases. This is work which we continue to do.

Your participation is vital to our mission. Please join our fast growing list of members. Annual dues are $35.00 and that (and our fund raisers) help offset the tremendous cost of running the shelter. The greater the enrollment, the louder our voice in defense of all animals.

We are constantly looking for volunteers to help with the animals in our Shelter, or if that isn't for you, we are constantly doing fundraisers, and can always use help with those. If you are willing to help in any way, transporting animals, picking them up at the vets, washing dogs, running errands...we can always find a perfect spot to fit your talents.

Our Adoption Process...

The cost for adopting a pet at the shelter is $75.00 for all cats, male and female and $85.00 - $150.00 for all dogs, male and female. This fee contributes to the cost of spaying/neutering, and a rabies shot. You will receive a $50.00 voucher to go toward paying for those services at the vet of your choice.

We have a contract for you to read and sign which basically says that you will abide by our rules and be a responsible pet owner. If the animal has not been spayed/neutered at time of adoption you will agree to have the pet taken care of as soon as he/she is old enough and provide proof of such.
