My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi my name is Douglas (or Dougie to my friends). I'm a 14 month old Chihuahua/Pom cross and I weigh about 9 lbs. As you can see, my most endearing quality is my 'disagreeing' ears. They can't seem to get on the same page about pointing up or pointing down... So they do both!! I love people very much and my favorite place to be is on a lap or in someone's arms. I did not grow up with any 4 legged friends so I'm a little bit wary of other dogs at first. But after just a day or two of coexisting, I realize they mean me no harm and I don't mind the company of big and small pups alike (I even came around to a hundred pound German Shepherd, no big deal!) I just met a baby human last weekend and I absolutely loved him - I couldn't resist giving him kisses every chance I got. I am crate trained, walk great on a leash and have excellent house manners and would so love a family to call my own. But first go to our web site & fill out our application. Feel free to include references, & be sure to include any of your prior vet's name & phone numbers. We will contact you once your application is approved.
Saturday 11-2 is meet and greet AND is our adoption day at Pet Smart.
