Yosemite Sam's Story...
Yosemite Sam has ended his racing career and is ready to begin his new life as a pampered family member. Sam is a handsome boy, white with brindle markings and a slight roman nose. He will be 4 years old on 11-19. He is a happy go lucky boy and loves everyone he meets. After he gives a gentle hug he leans on you for all the scratching and loving he can get. Sam is a very fun dog to be around. While Sam is friendly with all sizes of dogs due to his playfulness he would do best with a medium size dog or larger. He comes from a very good kennel and is a kennel favorite. His trainer has 4 children and he loves them. Sam senses that he needs to be gentle when he is around kids. He loves the water, so he would enjoy a trip to the beach or a pool to soak in. If you are interested in meeting this sweet boy he is located in Sarasota. The adoption fee of $250 covers his neuter, teeth cleaning, microchip and heartworm test. He is current on his shots. Please contact us at 941 423-1568 to meet Sam or find out more information.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Yosemite Sam, a Sarasota Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Greyhound for sale in Sarasota, or seeking a Greyhound dog from a breeder in Sarasota.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sarasota already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sarasota breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Greyhound breeders who help with Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sarasota paves the way for another one to be saved.
