My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hey there, what is your name? I’m sure glad to meet you. My name is DeeDee! I couldn’t just have one “Dee”, I’m so nice, you have to say it twice! Perhaps I should tell you a little more about me than just my name, huh? Well, I’m estimated to be a 5-6 year old puggle. That means I love to listen to the fall leaves rustling with my beagle ears, and I sense of humor like a pug, with extra butt wiggles when I am happy. Of course, I’m happy most all the time.

It is the perfect time of year to play fetch in the cool air, and that is my favorite game to play. I get along with other dogs, as long as they don’t bully me or my tennis ball. Although I love going for walks, and would happily be your walking pal any day of the week, I would do best in a fenced yard. That way – you can throw the ball as faaaaaar as you can, and I can impress you with my speedy retrieval skills. Oh, did I mention I am potty trained too? Talk about a bonus! Even more than I love chasing tennis balls and toys, I really love people. I want to have a family of my own someday, that won’t leave me for long hours at a time. These ears needs scratching, and my tummy needs rubs for me to feel the love.

Would you or someone you know be interested in an outgoing gal like myself? If you have a fenced in yard, love to play fetch, and know how to give really good belly rubs, you should fill out an application and learn more at www.NBSanimalRescue.com. Even If I am not the gal for you, won’t you share my photo on your wall?

Thank a bunch!
Tail wags,
DeeDee

Not sure what to do, now that you want to meet me? Here are some quick steps.

1.) Visit www.nbsar.org to fill out my adoption application. As an approved adopter, my rescue friends can set up a home visit so I can meet you. Our rescue is 100% run by volunteers, to help your application be processed as quickly as possible, please make sure to….

2.) Call your veterinarian and give them permission to release information about your current and past pet’s veterinary history.

3.) Call your references too! Let them know to expect a phone call from an unknown phone number, and a rescue team member will need to talk to them on the phone as a reference.

My adoption fee is $250.00 and includes a DHPP vaccine, bordatella vaccine, de-worming, spay/neuter surgery, rabies vaccine (age appropriate), heartworm test (age appropriate), heartworm preventative, flea/tick preventative, microchip insertion, bath, nail trim, ear cleaning, leash and collar and one week's worth of food. If you’d like to meet me, please apply online and to become an approved adopter!

Our adoption process requires that any pet in your household be current on vaccinations and heartworm preventative , spayed/neutered (unless a documented medical reason is on file with your veterinarian). Dogs must be current on Distemper DHPP combo vaccine and Rabies vaccine, cats must be current on Distemper and Rabies at the time of application. This also applies to any pets in your home within the past five years.

While I hope that you have fallen in love with me and are ready to apply, I understand if I might not be the perfect pup for your family just yet. However, would you please help by sharing my picture on Facebook, twitter or by email? I'm a great pup and need a loving family to give all of my love and puppy kisses to! Thank-you for your help!
