Ichabod's Story...
Greetings! I am little man searching for the legend known as the forever home! Cool autumn evenings are upon us. Take heed my friends! I recommend a remedy to warm and brighten your days--a furry little snuggle buddy! And I am just the one to fulfill such a task. You will notice that I have a slight limp. The vet says it's an old injury that was left untreated. But please don't worry, it in no way causes me pain or slows me down. Why, I've got the energy and playfulness of a dog half my age! Running, meeting new friends, playing with toys, enjoying a game of tug are all on my favorites list. Yeah, I may be mature, but in age only! I would be best suited for a home with children 5 and up. Just because I don't let my leg slow me down, doesn't mean that I'm ready to run around with young whippersnappers. Also, I tend to be very protective of my hind area because I am aware that I limp. Therefore, I tend to do best with dogs that are respectful of my space. Are you ready to end my long journey with a loving forever home? I am available for the Seniors for Seniors adoption special. Let's make your bed my Sleepy Hollow today!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ichabod, a Harrisonburg Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Harrisonburg, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in Harrisonburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Harrisonburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Harrisonburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Harrisonburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
