Loki's Story...
Loki is a handsome and sweet guy looking for a loving forever home. He arrived at the shelter after being hit by a car! He received the medical care he needed to get him back to good health. He is feeling much better now, but may have occasional soreness and stiffness as he gets older. Loki would like to be an indoor-only cat in his new home, where he can be safe and avoid having to go through any more traumatic experiences. Loki is an affectionate lap-cat who enjoys being close to his people. He may be able to live with another mellow cat, and possibly a very laid-back, cat-savvy dog who won't bother him too much. Any kids in the home should be old enough to treat Loki gently and not try to pick him up when he is not in the mood. If you would like to meet Loki, please fill out an adoption application at the front desk.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Loki, a Bellingham Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Bellingham, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Bellingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
