Anastasia's Story...
Anastasia is a 1 year old female German shepherd mix weighing 65 lbs. She is very sweet and friendly and knows a few basic commands. She will shake hands with you and walks well on a leash. She currently lives in a foster home with a 6 year old child and many other foster dogs. She is great with kids and other dogs but needs a home without cats. She loves toys and is very treat motivated which is great for training motivation. She also loves the water and will make a great gal to pal around with you. She is housebroken and crate trained. She is a very well-behaved young dog who seems to have lived lots of life in her short time. She was rescued at a high kill shelter where she gave birth to puppies and has been treated for heartworms and is not heartworm negative, vaccinated, spayed, micro chipped and dewormed. She is ready for a life full of love and happiness just like her personality...loving and faithful. Please consider giving this wonderful girl a loving furever home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Anastasia, a Alexandria German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Alexandria, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Alexandria.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Alexandria already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Alexandria breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Alexandria paves the way for another one to be saved.
