Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This handsome fellow is Barney Bigbend. Barney and his buddy Carlos Carlsbad became DREAM Dachsies recently when a caring passer-by noticed a young man standing in the parking lot of a gas station with the two pups sweltering inside two carrier crates. He was basically shouting out to anyone within ear shot that he had free dogs he needed to get rid of, or he'd be facing eviction.
Our Good Samaritan started chatting with the young man and could see the poor dogs were covered in fleas. She offered to take them off his hands, as she feared where they might end up. He wouldn't give her the (nasty) crates, so she ended up paying him $40 for them. She kept the boys over night and reached out to DREAM the next day. Delighted that we could help, she transported Barney and Carlos to our vet and made a nice donation toward their vetting expenses. Both boys are very friendly and their foster dad is getting to know more about their habits and traits. Each of them would make a great addition to loving forever families!
