Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Are you looking for a Dachshund who has a sweet and gentle nature, is both house and crate trained and feels as soft as velvet? Rocky Riesling is a really good boy who is all that and more; not to mention, he is incredibly handsome too! He will need a fairly quiet home because he is a bit fearful of meeting new people, and tends to shy away and will try to avoid being approached by strangers. So a family that has a lot of visitors, or is a very busy household would not be a match for him. He needs to be adopted by a couple with no young children or grandchildren, and who are able to give him lots of attention and plenty of cuddles. His previous owner worked very long hours, so he's used to being left during the day, but we aren't sure how much he liked that, since his favorite place to be is in your lap! Rocky is a total sweetheart, with a moderate to low energy level, and he walks really well on a leash, although he can be a bit barky when he sees people or other dogs. He would be an extremely loyal dog to a family who needs a Dachshund to spoil and love! Rocky will need an experienced dachshund owner due to his fearfulness of meeting new people.
