My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kandy is a gorgeous 4 year old Siberian Husky mix. When she arrived at Friendship she was immediately placed in a foster home to recover from a broken pelvis. Little is known about Kandy's history or how she broke her pelvis, because she brought to the shelter by someone who found her in their yard.

This is what Kandy's foster had to say about her..."We fostered her and she had amazing house manners, was crate trained, was very nice to guests who came over, and was not a barker (except when you first came home she'd go crazy with excitement for a minute-very cute woo-woos). We have a teen aged daughter who she was great with and a small King Charles Spaniel that she got along with."

Kandy was adopted and returned. She lived with a pit/lab mix. On just one occasion the family said that Kandy tried to eat a few pieces of their other dog's food that fell out on the floor and the other dog got aggressive so Kandy got aggressive back. The dogs got into a fight. The family thought it best to return her. Kandy is a dog that needs to be fed separately if there are 2 dogs in the home.

Kandy is a super sweet girl that deserves a loving home. Stop by soon to see if this sweet girl is the dog for you.

If you have kids over the age of 12 and are interested in meeting Kandy, please bring them with you for a meet and greet. No appointment is necessary. Stop by anytime during regular business hours.

All dogs receive one or more vaccinations, a basic veterinary examination, are wormed, heartworm tested and spayed or neutered. Dogs 3 months and older are micro-chipped.
