Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi! I’m Zed! Named after Zed McIntyre, a beautiful Chocolate Doberman, who was a victim of the Tragedy at Green Acre Dog Boarding, in Gilbert AZ. (Known as the Gilbert 23). I look kind of like a mini Chocolate Doberman, so I am honored to carry his name on! I’m new to AZCR, from Humane Society of Yuma. I have been looking for the right forever home since March 2015, when I came to HSOY as a stray. I was adopted, neutered, vaccinated, and micro chipped in May. Unfortunately, I was returned in August, as my 1st family had small children, who liked to stick their faces in mine, and that made me scared. So I will have to go to a home that has older children, or children who are respectful of my boundaries. I was then adopted again, in September, but when they realized just how much I want to be around my humans, they decided they didn’t have time for me. So I’m looking for someone who wants to love me for all that I am, and all of the love I have to give!! My foster Mommy in Tucson, is just getting to know me, but she has found out quickly that I LOVE people!!! I follow her everywhere, adore snuggling, and being held. I don’t mind other small dogs, but I can tend to be a bit lap possessive. We’re working on that, though. I’m a little unsure about what that fluffy thing is, that my FM keeps calling a Kitty. He moves quick, and can go places that I can’t, so I like to “yell at him”. Again, something I’m working on with my FM. I’ve only been in my foster home since 10/6, and every day I show more improvement with these things, so I may just need time to adjust to a new home and surroundings. But as long as my forever home has at least one person to hold me and snuggle with me, I will be SO happy! I even do a little dance on my hind legs when I want to be picked up. My FM says it’s really cute, and hard to resist. I think I might do best with someone who is home a lot, or can bring me with them when they go places. I get sad when I don’t have a person at home with me. So if you’re retired, or work from home, and are looking for a great companion, I’m your man! My “stats”: I’m little, only about 5 pounds, and I’m approximately 3 ½ years old. I’m fixed, chipped, vaccinated, and ready to go when the right person or family comes along! I will be available 10/13/2015, but you can contact my Foster Mom before then if you are interested in learning more about me! I hope to hear from you soon! Love ~ Zed.
