My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gracie is a 7 year old Chihuahua mix. Her human dad passed away and her mom is not able to continue caring for Gracie so their friend helped to re-home her. She is healthy, spayed and up to date. Gracie had become a tiny but mighty protector in her former home and would bark to guard her place and people. Since coming to Maine, however, the family friend has worked with her and she has done really well with greeting new people and she likes other dogs. She has lived with a cat, and currently lives with dogs and tropical birds and she has done great!

Gracie is polite on a leash, is housetrained, and is great at the groomers or the vet. She can be relaxed and sweet, but can be nervous if there is a lot of chaos, so a quieter home without a lot of coming and going would be ideal with another calm dog and an experienced owner. Her current foster family is working on building up her tolerance to alone time and she has stayed for several hours with no problems.

As you can see, she is a beautiful girl. She is a petite little love at 11 lbs.

To apply to adopt this dog, please visit our web site to access our application and learn more about adoption through Lucky Pup Rescue, www.luckypuprescue.org, or request an application via email, luckypuprescue@yahoo.com.

Please note, we do not have a physical location, but we are supported by a network of wonderful foster homes that are spread throughout New England. A dog will need to be visited by a prospective adopter in the foster home where they are feeling safe and comfortable.
