Niagara's Story...
Niagara is an outgoing 3 year old Spayed Female. Niagara is very frequently the kitty at the front of the kennel, asking you for your attention! This pretty girl was surrendered by her former family because a change in their circumstances left them homeless, and since she was adopted from us as a kitten, we were happy to give her a second chance to find a loving fur-ever family! Niagara doesn't have any experience with dogs, so we can't say whether she'd like a canine companion. We think she'd do fine with children of any age. Come on down to ACL and "fall" in love with Niagara!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Niagara, a Oak Park Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Oak Park, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Oak Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oak Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oak Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oak Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
