Maddy and Zoey are sisters from the same litter. They are about 6-month-old and have had little training. They respond well to clicker training and have just started crate training. They have not been fed people food and do not beg. They do like to chew but are not destructive when supplied small rawhide bones, rope, toys, etc. They are not yet house broken but do have the morning routine down (wake up, out to pee, in to eat, out to poop). The girls know the commands: sit, stay, in, out, and eat very well. Lesser know: come, down, up. If you call them “good girls” they will run to you.

The girls love to play and have a ½ acre yard with an electric fence to run, chase each other and to be curious. They do dig once in awhile and like to chew on sticks. The girls bark at people walking near the house or drive into the driveway or walk into the house. It takes them only a few minutes to acclimate to strangers. They do not bite, but instead are a bit timid. When not outside playing they love to cuddle with each other or their people and love to be pet. They will love and lick you if you let them.

We are looking for a loving home who will take both girls and have someone who has time to properly train them. They have never been around infants, but I doubt that would be a problem. They have lived with another dog (and all got along famously). Please read the detailed behavior analysis and health history if you are interested in adopting them.

We try to save as many dogs that are on death row as we can. These dogs come from Texas and face certain death if rescues to not take them. We pay for transport to CT and your adoption fee covers the transportation and vaccinations and spay/neuter. we also use any fees to cover medical costs for any dog that is sick or injured.
