Howard's Story...
~~~~~~~~Medical Hold~~~~~~~
Howard is a 10 yr old Male Golden Retriever.
Here is a note from Howard's foster family:
Howard lost 2 pounds of hair today! I used the Furminator and surprise, he loved it. His skin is still flaking quite a bit, but the old dead hair couldn't have felt good.
He has really has come to life! He's now picking up toys and tennis balls. Yesterday, he and my dog, Aspen, started playing and wrestling in the grass! Aspen was so excited to have someone to wrestle with! It was the most peppy I had seen Howard!
Howard says Thank You to all that helped get him to Colorado. This Senior is sooooo thankful for a fresh start!
Howard still has a way to go but we are really making progress. He still has to wear his collar or he'll start licking on those legs.
I am so grateful to be his Foster mom, he is so beautiful and to see him come alive a little more each day is so amazing!
For more information, please take a look at for updates. Please review the adoption requirements before submitting an online application.
Why Adoption is a Great Option
Howard, a Denver Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever for sale in Denver, or seeking a Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Denver.
  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Denver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Denver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Denver paves the way for another one to be saved.
