Ellie's Story...
Hi, my name is Ellie, and I’m a 7-month-old, tri-colored Shnauzer/Terrier mix. I’ m super excited to be up for adoption, I mean bouncing-off-the-walls excited! I have LOTS of energy, and my previous home didn’t give me much structure, so I need to catch up on my puppy training and socialization. I’ll need a home with the time and resources to give me lessons and maybe let me go to school at doggy day-care, because I would love to make some friends and learn my doggy manners! My foster mom says I’m very pretty and smart; I already learned “watch me” and “sit.” Still need to refine my house-training and learn what walking on a leash is all about. I love squirrels, love them!, so I might chase a cat too, if given the chance. Come meet me!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ellie, a Bellingham Schnauzer (Miniature)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Schnauzer (Miniature)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Bellingham, or seeking a Schnauzer (Miniature)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Bellingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Schnauzer (Miniature)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Schnauzer (Miniature)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
