Lou's Story...
Meet Lou! Lou is a senior aged toy poodle available for adoption. We're hunting for a person or family for Lou to spend his golden years with. We're estimating Lou to be around 11-13 years old. When he came into the shelter here in Baton Rouge, his teeth were in terrible condition, so they all had to be pulled. Because of his toothlessness, Lou needs canned food or softened kibble to eat. Lou does have an ongoing pressure issue in one of his eyes, but it has been controlled well by inexpensive eye drops.

If you think your home is the one for Lou to spend the rest of his days in, please email us at BRLoveabulls@gmail.com for more info on Lou.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lou, a Baton Rouge Poodle (Toy or Tea Cup) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Poodle (Toy or Tea Cup) for sale in Baton Rouge, or seeking a Poodle (Toy or Tea Cup) dog from a breeder in Baton Rouge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Baton Rouge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Baton Rouge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Poodle (Toy or Tea Cup) breeders who help with Poodle (Toy or Tea Cup) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Baton Rouge paves the way for another one to be saved.
