Hugo - our 18lb gentle giant's Story...
Aw, Hugo can be a lover boy, he's just not looking to kiss on the first date - but he is looking for a long-term, committed relationship. Hugo and his siblings (Hazel and Heathcliffe) came to SARA after being born to a feral mom and it took him a while to learn to trust people. As you can see, Mr. upside-down kitty relaxes around people he knows and trusts - he loves his foster momma and gives great cuddles! He's looking for a quiet home with people willing to give him the time he needs to settle in - in return, you'll be rewarded with a friendly, playful kitty friend, guaranteed to bring a smile to your face.

Hugo is an 18lb mellow, hunka chunka love who can be adopted with or without his sister Hazel, who is a petite, gorgeous girl.

Adoption procedure includes an adoption application and home visit.
Adoption fee applies and includes:
neuter surgery
current on age-appropriate vaccinations (FVRCP and rabies)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hugo - our 18lb gentle giant, a Tucson Domestic Mediumhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Tucson, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair cat from a breeder in Tucson.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tucson already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tucson breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tucson paves the way for another one to be saved.
