This dog is being fostered in Dallas TX and must be adopted within the Dallas, North Central Texas or the southern Oklahoma area.
NAME: Simon
GENDER: Male (Neutered)
AGE: About 5 months
WEIGHT: About 5 Pounds
DOGS/CATS: Good with other small dogs, Unknown with cats

Simon is an extremely playful, curious and loving puppy. He was found lost in a neighborhood with another puppy at 10 weeks old. He was born in mid-May. A wonderful person took him in and called CRT to help find him a home. He was named Simon due to the cute chipmunk noises he made as a puppy and his high level of intellect. Simon quickly learned to use the pee pad and he now whines at the door to go outside to potty. He knows the command sit as well, and does so before eating. Due to the fact he is a Chiweenie (mostly Dachshund and the rest Chihuahua!), he will learn fast and it is recommended to start obedience classes right after adoption.
Simon loves his foster sister and brother and they play all the time. He needs an active home preferably with another smaller dog. Simon will be about 10 - 12 pounds when he is fully grown. His favorite game is the shoe string game. Once your shoes are tied, he will untie them and you get to tie them again. He finds this to be great fun.
Simon would be fine at a home with children over 10 years old. He likes people and is quick to warm up to strangers, especially if they have a treat. He also is mastering leash walking and needs daily exercise.
