"Fiji"'s Story...
Meet Fiji! He is a super cute special guy. Fiji is 2 yr old 9 pound neutered Maltese Pappillon-terrier mix. I am a rescue dog and my past is unknown. My adoption fee is $550. I am small, and stout with short little legs. I am very soft and low to non shedding and requires continued grooming to keep him looking adorable. I would love a forever home to call my own a best friend. I love to lap cruise and be with A adult people. I love toys, and running in the backyard with my foster brother. I am very happy, healthy, playful, and independent. I like my own space at from time to time and can be calm & quiet. I sleep on the bed and would love to live with a family that allows me on the bed. I am almost potty trained and ready for love so please come soon. If you work from home I can keep your lap warm. If away from the home more than 4 hrs a dog walker or doggy daycare arrangement is required. I can't wait to find my forever home and new beginning in life.
I would make a great companion for someone that understands my quirks. I like to play with your hands and can be mouthy. This is why we label him "special needs" We do not know his pas but he show's signs of insecurity and we think abuse. When excited Fiji can become overwhelmed, and he will also yipe if trying to pick him up to fast. It is obvious, and sad that he was not treated well in his past. He was saved minutes from euthanasia from a high kill shelter in CA. Fiji will require patience love and understanding. A basic obedience class to help create boundaries He needs security and someone that will love him that will take it slow with him, knows small dog behavior and leads a easy-going, moderately active lifestyle. Fiji needs a simple daily routine that includes walking and playing. Fiji is looking for a family or individual that is caring and patient and does not have children under the age of 15 and understands rescue dogs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

"Fiji", a Seattle Papillon/Maltese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Papillon/Maltese for sale in Seattle, or seeking a Papillon/Maltese dog from a breeder in Seattle.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Seattle already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Seattle breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Papillon/Maltese breeders who help with Papillon/Maltese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Seattle paves the way for another one to be saved.
