Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Esmeralda – 6 year old female purebred Miniature Schnauzer. Esmeralda is a parti colored schnauzer. We rescued her from an LA city shelter where she had been dumped by her owner. She had been adopted by a member of the public but when the shelter vets went to spay her they said they had complications and that she had tumors on her uterus. We rescued her on a health waiver and took her to our vet who x-rayed her and found she was pregnant (that tumor was a single puppy). About a week later she had some discharge and we took her back to the vet and found the puppy wasn’t alive and she was scheduled to be spayed. While spaying her the vet found that her uterus had actually burst, she spend 3 days at the vets recovering. This little girl has been through a lot but is just fine now and ready for a new home. She gets along fine with other dogs but would also do ok as an only dog. Esmeralda is a tiny girl at about 12 pounds.
