Ralphie came into rescue when his owner could no longer care for him. He is 8 years old and 18 pounds of pure love. He is a stocky boy, but is very playful and loves his stuffed animal toys. He is very agile and is able to jump like a rabbit up onto furniture, but still asks to be lifted onto the bed at night. Ralphie loves to cuddle with his foster mom on the couch or in bed and especially enjoys having his tummy rubbed. He walks well on a leash and would like his new family to take him on long daily walks. He also needs a family who will keep him on a regular routine to help him be consistent with his housetraining. Ralphie was accustomed to living with another small dog and would probably enjoy having another small dog as a companion, but could also be an only dog in the family.
Ralphie is healthy, neutered, current on vaccinations, microchipped and is on heartworm and flea/tick preventative. His adoption fee is $220.00 plus $16.01 for a total of $236.01. His foster mom would like his adopter to live within about 40 miles of the Twin Cities and would be appreciative if they would attend the annual Shih Tzu Rescue Reunion held in September every year.
