Grace's Info...

Grace's Story...
Grace is a gorgeous purebred Bernese Mt Dog pup, is almost 10 months old. She is a little shy with strangers, but very gentle, and warms up quickly. Likes to put her head on your knee and look up, as if she were smiling! Grace us pretty calm for a puppy but still likes to play, is good with other dogs, fine with our cat. She was surrendered to us from an Ohio Amish "commercial breeder" (aka puppy mill) because she has symtpomatic hip dysplasia, and would not be a good candidate to breed and make money selling puppies. She can still run and play, but is likely to need surgery for her hips down the road, so a potential owner must be financially and emotionally prepared to give her the medical care she needs for her lifetime. ~ Fine with other dogs. Healthy, neutered, had recent bloodwork, vet exam, etc.~~ PLEASE NOTE: A securely fenced yard is required for all dog adoptions, especially young dogs of large active breeds. No shock collar "invisible fences." ~ For more info on this breed, please go to: and to ~~ To compare this breed to others, please see

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Grace, a Mount Gilead Bernese Mountain Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bernese Mountain Dog for sale in Mount Gilead, or seeking a Bernese Mountain Dog puppy from a breeder in Mount Gilead.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mount Gilead already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mount Gilead breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bernese Mountain Dog breeders who help with Bernese Mountain Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mount Gilead paves the way for another one to be saved.
