Apollo's Story...
AVAILABLE 10-20-15 Apollo and Bear were brought to the Shelter when their owner could no longer care for them. She got them from "others who were unable to care for them". Looks like these guys need someone who can "care for them" FOREVER. Apollo is the larger of the two and is 2yrs. old. While Bear is only 1yr. old. According to the owner they are not house trained, but were kept inside (crate trained). She reported that they were friendly with small children, enjoyed car rides, leash walks and baths. She described them as playful social butterflies. We have found both Apollo and Bear to be super friendly, they are like gentle giants who walk easily on leash. They tested negative for heart worms and their shots are no up to date. If you are that someone who can "care for either FOREVER", please come to the Shelter in Elizabeth City and meet Apollo and Bear.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Apollo, a Elizabeth City Rottweiler dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rottweiler for sale in Elizabeth City, or seeking a Rottweiler dog from a breeder in Elizabeth City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elizabeth City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elizabeth City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rottweiler breeders who help with Rottweiler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elizabeth City paves the way for another one to be saved.
