Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Name: DJ
Sex: Male
Breed: Retriever/Lab mix
Age: 9 months old
Weight: TBD
Good with: Dogs & people
DJ is an incredibly handsome 9 month old Retriever/Lab mix that is ready for his fur-ever home! I am a very loving and social dog who gets along wonderfully with other animals. My favorite treats are bananas (especially frozen pieces), apples, strawberries and I am learning to like carrots. I also just discovered the joys of peanut butter—yummy!!! Before coming to my foster's home I didn’t know what a toy was, so I chew on whatever my foster siblings share with me (which is usually a variety of different bones, horns and chew toys). I like to run after balls and playing with my foster siblings Kylie and Waldo. I am working on crate training but I get very anxious inside them and have thus far broken out of two. Right now my preferred sleeping places are with my foster humans or my foster siblings.
The training I know is - “Stay” and “Easy” (when taking treats), “Bed” and “Let’s go potty” are the commands that I have mastered. My foster parents have been giving me time to learn to be a puppy (which I appreciate) and are now beginning to introduced “paw” and “down.” I also walk very well on leash!
