Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi Y’all – Millie is my name and gentle charm is my game. I’ve been homeless, sick and neglected, lost the person I loved, had half my ear cut off by some doctor, shuttled from shelter to clinic to foster home and never lost my native dignity, warm heart, and grace. So, though I’m a little reserved at first, once I know you’re going to let me stick around I’ll warm right up to you, your friends, and anyone else who happens by. I get along and hold my own just fine with other dogs—even the rowdy terrier in my foster home and his pal, the 80-pound alpha guard dog—and I’m only mildly interested in the kitty cat who lives here. Did you say walk? Don’t mind if we do. I love a short brisk walk a couple of times a day, though my hiking days are over. I don’t mind using a crate, but lounging on the couch is pretty darn good. And you won’t have to worry about me chewing up the furniture when you’re gone, promise. I don’t get upset when I’m alone (but I’d really rather be with you and another nice dog). And apart from a little stiffness—we all get old—my health is fine. All I ask is that you feed me good-quality food and give me the supplements that keep me going.
