Willow - ADOPTED!'s Story...
Willow is a gorgeous, petite, long-haired dilute tortoiseshell kitty. She is approximately 1 & 1/2 yr. old, but is very small for her age, just seven pounds. Although now healthy, Willow had a very rough start at life, and will probably never get any bigger than she is now. Someone had abandoned her in the country where a good samaritan was feeding stray cats, and this good samaritan called us for help because Willow was injured. She had abcesses on her jaw and throat and could only eat canned food. Her wounds were treated and her foster mom nursed her back to health. Willow's foster mom says that Willow is very affectionate, quiet and well-mannered, great with other cats and always uses the litterbox. Willow has been spayed, tested negative for leukemia and FIV, dewormed, vaccinated for rabies and distemper, and is on flea preventative. Her adoption fee is $35 to help offset the costs of her medical care. For more information on Willow or how to adopt her, please contact Shannon at 330-420-5089 or sgates47@yahoo.com.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Willow - ADOPTED!, a Lisbon Maine Coon cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maine Coon for sale in Lisbon, or seeking a Maine Coon cat from a breeder in Lisbon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lisbon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lisbon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maine Coon breeders who help with Maine Coon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lisbon paves the way for another one to be saved.
