My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kiko is an 8 year old red Shiba Inu who was no longer useful to her breeders. she has had a tough life as a puppy mill breeder, resulting in sore bones and an infected eye; despite that, she has so much love to give. When the volunteers came to see her, she flattened her fly-bitten ears and shook her furry Shiba tail. She howled with delight from the attention they gave her, and really loves being petted and given yummy boiled chicken!. She is so happy to be in a home and can’t wait to find a forever home!

Kiko was just spayed; she will be vaccinated, microchipped, and behaviorally assessed before being available for adoption. She also has an infected eye that will be treated.

DC SIR is willing to consider an expanded adoption area for this special dog!
