found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am purebred.
12/1/15 We separated the babies from Polkee since they were old enough to wean, but she was still letting them nurse. We consulted the vet and were told she felt Polkee got pregnant so young and she is probably only about 3 months older than her babies. She greets every volunteer she has gotten to know by standing on her hind legs so they can pick her up and give her snuggles. We don't always see that and I have totally fallen for her.
Update: 11/10/15 This little mama is such a darling. She has learned that Cheerios are wonderful treats and she comes to the edge of the pen when she see me for a pet and some Cheerios. I have to medicate her twice a day which she does not like, but she will just sit there while I struggle to pick her up with arthritic hands. We needed to treat her babies so she was medicated. Mom was not sick, but one baby had an infected eye and they were so tiny the vet treated mom and they get all got the meds in her milk, just in case.
She is teaching herself to use the litter box very well now that she has one.
Orignal intake post:
We only know that this little girl has a litter of 5 babies that are about 4 weeks or less on 10/29. The poor thing has been moved around a lot and might even be pregnant again already. She has a vet visit coming up as soon as we can get an appointment for her. Momma is taking it all pretty well considering how much is changing in her life. Watch for updates.
