My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello I may look like a mild mannered, plain little brown chihuahua boy but I saved my friend's life and my own. We were on our last day on death row. We saw a lot of dogs go through "the door" and never come back. We were in a building that almost no one comes in. It is for the sad, lonely forgotten, "plain" dogs. But wait here comes a nice lady! I mustered every last bit of my courage and ran to the fence. I danced, I pranced, I kissed and wagged, then I ran back to my sick friend's bedside over and over again. I didn't want her to just take me. After all we had been through I wanted her to take us both. My motto is no dog left behind. I honestly can't believe it worked but we are getting out of here together and alive. They have named me Hero and today I feel like it.
p.s. I am looking for a forever home that needs a hero like me.


All of our dogs have been spayed or neutered, micro-chipped, had rabies, bordetella and distemper/lepto/parvo vaccines as well as been de-wormed and had flea medication applied. They come with a free vet check at Mt. Tabor Vet Care. We offer a 10% discount for seniors, veterans and students. We accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover. We don't adopt our small dogs out to families with children under 6 years of age. All of our dogs are in foster homes. We have an adoption application and check references. Pound to Posh is a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to saving dogs from high kill shelters.
