Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Lainey is a 2-3 year old terrier/lab mix with short reddish-blond fur. She is super sweet and loving. She is spayed, up to date on her shots and potty trained. She Loves kids and is good with other dogs and cats. She is quiet and moderately active.
She is very timid and shy until she gets to know you. She is also very uneasy around men. After several weeks in our home, Lainey has finally warmed up to my husband and is now instigating play with him.
Lainey has some scars on her face and was treated for heart worms. Despite the obvious neglect and abuse she has suffered, she still loves her people and will ba a very obedient and loyal family member.
She self crates when she's scared or wants to nap in her safe place. When we first brought her home, she would not go out the back door to potty. We had to put her on a leash and as soon as we got outside, she did her business. After a few days she started going in and out on her own, but only when I opened the door and moved completely away from it.
Now Lainey is playing with toys, asking for affection and she snuggles close every chance she gets! She taps on the door to go out and come in. She enjoys going for walks and is good on a leash.
She would do best in a family that would be patient with her and willing to let Lainey slowly adjust to her new home. If you think Lainey would be a good fit for your family, please call Shawn (630) 991-0945 or email smktng@gmail.com for more information. Her adoption fee is $200.
