Cromwell's Story...
Cromwell is a friendly purebred Chesapeake Bay Retriever, 7 years old. He is here in Olympia in our rescue recovering from a horribly neglectful situation, where he was confined for an extended period of time in a small kennel covered in feces and urine. His paws are healing from burns and blisters from his own excrement, and he is significantly underweight. Cromwell is ready for his new life, where he can relax in comfort, play with a ball, and always have enough food to eat. Be the happy ending to his sad story!

At this time we feel that Cromwell will do best as the only dog in the home.

Cromwell's adoption fee is a $400 donation to our small nonprofit animal rescue and helps cover his vet care expenses and fund our mission to rescue, foster, and locate loving homes for homeless and abandoned pets.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cromwell, a Olympia Chesapeake Bay Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chesapeake Bay Retriever for sale in Olympia, or seeking a Chesapeake Bay Retriever dog from a breeder in Olympia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Olympia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Olympia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chesapeake Bay Retriever breeders who help with Chesapeake Bay Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Olympia paves the way for another one to be saved.
