Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Zack and Zoey had a tough beginning. When the owners had to move, instead of doing the right thing and surrendering the baby pups and their mama they just opened the door of their mobile home and let the puppies loose. We don't know how many there were originally but the fact these two didn't get hit is amazing and they were meant to be survivors.
They lived on their own together and would run to the bus stop every day to meet all the kids getting off the bus. Luckily someone called our southern rescue partners who were able to come and save them and take care of them.
They are about 6 months old now (as of mid-October) . Zach weighs 27 lbs and Zoey weighs 25 lbs. Zach was born with 1/2 a tail and Zoey has 3/4 of a tail. We think they could be Cattle Dog/Jack Russell mixes but no one knows either parent.
In spite of their tough start, they are the sweetest, most loving dogs. They get along great with the other dogs in their foster home and they are good with children. We don't have cat info at this time.

Please note, we do not have a physical facility where our dogs are housed, they are cared for in our network of wonderful foster homes throughout New England. If you find a dog you would like to meet, our expectation is that, once approved, you will travel to meet the dog in the foster setting where they are feeling safe and loved.
