COUNTRY's Story...
Country is a really nice Yellow Lab mix boy that was picked up as a stray and put in a shelter in TN. He is around 2 years old, weighs 60 pounds and has an old injury to his left hip. His left back leg is a tad bit shorter than his right rear leg but he gets along very well in spite of this. This may have been a birth defect or could have been from some kind of accident and the injury was not treated and didn’t heal properly. He can still run and play and be a great family companion. We always say, the challenged creatures of the world have a special love to give. Would you like to experience the special love and kindness of Country? ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Why Adoption is a Great Option

COUNTRY, a Salem Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Salem, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Salem.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Salem already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Salem breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Salem paves the way for another one to be saved.
